"See, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up—do you not perceive it?"
– Isaiah 43:19
My child,
I know what lies behind you —
the mistakes you’ve made,
the things you’ve been through,
the scars you still sometimes feel.
But listen closely:
Your past does not define who you are — I do.
The world may try to pin you to your failures.
People may remind you of where you went wrong.
But I see your destiny, not your history.
Your past is not a prison.
It is soil where I can grow something new.
Even your brokenness
I will use to produce strength, wisdom, and compassion.
Your pain will become a source of healing.
Your failures will testify of My grace.
Your story will give others hope.
Let go of the past, My child.
Not because it didn’t happen,
but because I already carried it — on the cross.
I don’t hold you to your past,
so don’t hold yourself to it either.
I’m not focused on what you were —
I’m shaping who you are becoming.
And what you’re becoming is beautiful.
Not perfect,
but healed, renewed, and glowing with My light.
Shall we pray together?
Father, sometimes I hold on to my past.
But You call me into a new beginning.
Help me believe in Your plans —
greater than my fears and my mistakes.
Lead me into the path of my destiny.
Amen.
